Father/Daughter Dance Party

...and this is why I love him...

Luckily for me he doesn't look at this blog to see that I am showing off exploiting his killer moves for the sake of personal entertainment. ;)

I Can See Clearly Now...

Last night we (Nanny, Great Granny, Cameran and I) headed off to Mechanicsburg to pick out new frames for Cameran.

An hour and $198 later I decided upon these:

Not quite sure...

Poor Daddy was at his grad class all night, so I had to text pictures of about 5 different pairs to him.  It was quite entertaining deciding which frames to choose via text messaging.  In the end, I listened to Ryan and bought a neutral pair decided to pick out a funky, bright blue color.  At one point Ryan agreed that he liked them, so hey, it counts, right?  I am hoping they come in this week, but have a feeling they won't be in until next week.  I am so excited to see them fit properly!  Who knows, maybe Cami will be an all-star Einstein and keep the glasses on instead of ripping them off her face like at the optician last night...  She did so well with her first pair, so I do have high hopes, but we will just have to see (pun intended).

Picture Madness and Baby Boyfriends

Okay.  So I must've been living under a rock, thinking that I needed an awesome camera/editing software to create embellished picture. SOOOO not true.  I am sure picnik.com has been around for quite a while, but my silly self JUST -as in over the weekend- discovered this program.  And now I am hooked.  So, the header may not look quite right and may change every day, but that is the way it is going to be.  And thanks to my friend Karen over at Tales of a Library Lady for helping me figure out how to make a collage that would actually be an appropriate header size!  Her son is super cute, and is one of Cameran's many boyfriends.

Speaking of boyfriends--Cameran's identical twin boyfriends from daycare celebrated their 2nd birthday today.  Cameran took part in the festivities and apparently even went to town on a cupcake!  Now, when I pick P up, the boys run over and say "Cammin's mommy! Cammin's mommy!" and actually request to give her hugs.  They were practically pushing me out of the way while I was trying to put her jacket on to get to her.  Even though they are now two, they get to stay in the 1s room until Christmas when there are openings in the 2s.  I am glad because they definitely give Cameran the interaction that she needs.

Along with interactions--tonight Cameran got across the entire floor in her walker going forward!  She also tracked my voice and came toward me as I bribed her with her puppy.  It worked!!!  Not only that, but Cameran finally imitated clapping for the first time!!!!!!!!!!! She is still munching away on everything that is NOT a teething ring, but her efforts are still fruitless.  Someday.  If not, maybe they make baby grills dentures ;)

31 for 21: Halloween

Welcome to Cameran's 2nd Halloween.  Last year we went all out and dressed as a peapod AND a kangaroo.  This year we went for simplicity....Pumpkin Cheerleader...

We started off the evening at our good friends' house.  Their kiddos are Phineas and the two black kitty cats in the back.  Next to P is a very adorable spider, who just happens to belong to another friend who happened to capture these photos!
And who can forget the two identical, itty bitty twins flanking the outside of the picture?!  Too cute.
Getting everyone to cooperate at the same time was hellacious wasn't happening.
But if you scroll realfast it almost looks like they are all looking at the same time.
Miss Cami actually did quite well considering all the photos I took of her...
...Although here she is not looking to thrilled...
Daddy and Cameran were big hits at each of the houses!!

19 months

I can hardly believe my baby is 19 months already!

Happy birthday, Peanut. We are constantly in awe of you.

Congratulations, too, on your daycare boyfriend. Let the record show that today when I picked up Cami she received her first kiss-on the mouthish area-by her little bf, who reached up to say "Bye". I leaned down and bam, he planted one. Then his identical twin toddled over and, not wanting to miss the action, planted his own kiss on Cami. (It appears twin 2's technique is better ;). Apparently the one twin stood by her walker today and repeatedly tried to vie for her attention. "Cammin. Cammin. Cammin, Baby. Cammin, Baby..." is apparently his pet name for Peanut. Too cute.

At least I know she won't be alone in a corner when she scoots herself away from everyone.

Starting young Cami. Daddy is gonna have to install extra locks to keep you in and boys out when you get older!

Too cute.

31 for 21:Day 7

After a nice long day at work I came home to find the husband might also have pink eye. He had taken his work clothes off and was getting comfortable for the evening when I said I would run out and get food; plus, I had to pick up more buddy walk stuff at the store. No sooner did I say this did the doorbell ring.

Figuring it was the neighbor I took my time walking to the door. I was more than a little surprised to find my MiL and FiL standing outside the door!

FiL had a previous appt at the Cleveland Clinic, and we thought they were driving home, never suspecting they would be headed our way!!! SURPRISE!!

Now BOTH sets of grandparents will be at the BW!

I'd post more but we were out all evening with our visitors ;)

Who Needs a Crib...

...when you can sleep comfortably in your Jumperoo....
(So comfortably, I might add, that there was snoring involved!)

So many captions...

"Sleeping Fly Trap"
"Away in a Jumper"
"Now I Lay Me (Standing Up in a Jumperoo) Down To Sleep"

Ahh, to be a baby.

Weekend in review...and a little domesticity

This Fourth of July was pretty subdued. We did not have sparklers, nor did we go to any BBQs, other than my parents' house because, well, Cameran...

We still are in the midst of these ACTHar steroid shots. Previously I posted about Cami being an insomniac. She truly is. And it's the meds and I hate them for doing that to her.  You can see her below in her pretty 4th of July dress, looking drugged up and puffy.  Boy has her face gotten puffy in the past two weeks.

(Just a little note--I'd like to think I am a better photographer than my pictures show, but I am pretty sure that 95% of the pics on this blog come from my iPhone, hence the fuzziness of some.  The timer has such a delay.  Sigh.)

It's a Jungle In Here

Cameran's latest obsession (when she is not rubbing her hands or head) is her obnoxious cute lil jungle toy.

I'm a great big el-e-phant
Stomping here
Stomping there

I'm a big and tall giraffe
Standing so high
I'm touching the sky

I'm a tiny little penguin
Wobbling here
Wobbling there

I'm a very friendly parrot
Chatting out loud
For all to here

Listen to the music and get on your feet
Move like the animals
Stomp your feet
Waddle like a penguin
Stretch up tall--like a giraffe
Dance like a monkey
And laugh, laugh, laugh.

Chunky Monkey!

My sweet sweet Peanut is turning into a Piglet.

Apparently when you are 15 months old being only 18 lb 5 oz puts you in the percentile of nada. However, pump some steroids into baby girl and wala--2 lbs of chunk in a week. Twenty lbs is more around the 25th percentile. Yay to being back on the "typical" chart.

Ah, the joys of motherhood...

Determinded to be productive during this 3-day weekend, I woke up, took the baby with me downstairs, fed her, and then left her with a pile 'o toys while I began cleaning the kitchen.

Fast forward to 12:30.  Still not showered, and wanting to hit up the park with Ryan and Cameran, we trekked upstairs to take baths.  I thought it would be a wonderful idea to get Cami interested in her bath toys if I hopped in with her before taking my own shower.  All was well until the end (and might I preface by adding that overall this was her longest and otherwise most successful bath) when she began wailing.  I called Ryan to come and take her, which he did.  As I drained the tub I began reminiscing of my own days playing in the bathtub.  I would pretend I was Cinderella, and would wash the walls with my rags washcloth.  I am thinking that my mother encouraged this because it helped her clean the tub and not because she was proud of my imagination.  In any case, I was scooping up Cameran's bathtoys--cute little crocodiles and fish and sea horses and poop.  What?!?  What was that?  Did I just write the word poop?? Yes.  Yes I did.  Unbeknownst to me my darling little one decided to drop her kids off at the public pool.  Too bad I was in it.

Thanks Cameran.  You're the best.

:) Happy Memorial Weekend.
